I'm going to try and make this one short and sweet since my last few posts have been longer. Today is my official last full day in Canada. Seems so surreal still but the excitement is really starting to kick in. Hearing about friends going back to school, people going back to work full fledged after the summer made me realize how much fun I'm about to have (no offense friends). I can't imagine going back to school right now or some 9-5 job I'll likely bitch about haha.
Pretty much all packed...tryin to take some things out but it's so hard to just leave things not knowing when I will return. I've been told by good friends who've been to Aus to take out half of what I've packed as I probably won't wear it anyways and will buy stuff. This is probably very true. How do you pack for an entire year anyways?!
Going to spend tonight having a nice dinner of pacific salmon and red wine with my brother and daddy. Got to watch some home movies last night with Steven and Dad after a dinner with Nana. It was hilarious to see a) my dad with more hair and a full beard and b) me with some kind of little boy haircut and a my voice sounding like I swallowed a tonne of helium. Got to watch dad's videos from Italy too which was really cool.
So tomorrow afternoon I'll be spending a good 8 hours in the LAX airport on my layover and then I'll be boarding for Australia. Hoping to spot some celebs in the airport--preferably Bieber, the Kardashians or a comedian of some sort. I told my dad with my luck I'd be sitting beside some big sports star on the plane and have no effing idea who they are. haha. Anyways, as promised this will be a short post since I need to double check my packing, get some american money for LA and relax before the nerves really kick in. I've taken down important numbers and addresses so I can keep in touch with everyone besides here. I will hopefully get a cell phone when I get there but my priorities will be pool, tan, meet fellow backpackers.
